MISSION STATEMENT

We endeavour to help people become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well, and spiritually alive.

CORE VALUES

We practice seven core values that facilitate rehabilitation and life transformation, one person at a time:

Integrity

Living and working with excellence

Compassion

Embracing hope, love, and reconciliation

Community

Working together and supporting one another

Vision

Seeing beyond the present

Blokes

Stewardship

Faithfully managing God’s call and resources

Faith

Believing God for the impossible

Servanthood

Dedicating ourselves to the success of others

We humans can work hard for each other, and we should and we must.   But it is God, and only God, who heals.
- David Wilkerson, Teen Challenge Founder

HISTORY

Teen Challenge Victoria is a not-for-profit organisation, established in 1974 to provide long-term residential treatment and rehabilitation services for young men (aged 16+) wanting to overcome addiction and other life controlling issues.
Teen Challenge Victoria is a Christian based organisation that believes a spiritual foundation is essential. We recognise that we are emotional, physical and spiritual beings, and a holistic approach is required to achieve success and long-term freedom. Our vision is to help people put their lives back together and set them on the pathway to success.
In addition to rehabilitative services, participants are encouraged to integrate back into the community and prepare to enter or re-enter the workforce or gain further education.
The participative residential program, based in the Goulburn Valley VIC, has provided assistance to thousands of men with a focus on self-identity; family and relationships (including reconciliation); personal development; and work and responsibilities. The facility has 24 beds and is supported by a committed staff.
Funding for the Teen Challenge Victoria program is provided through donations, sponsorships, grants, foundations, fund-raising and client fees.
Teen Challenge Victoria is governed by a Board of Management.
